Banana-Avo Ice Cream

I've been buying avocados like a mad woman and it finally caught up to me. I didn't want to throw them away, I mean, come on, their avocados. Nuff said. Around the same time as my avo-dilemma I saw that you could freeze avocados. 



So I started pit and cut the avocados to freeze them. 

WELL, I went in the freezer to grab an avocado when I saw it.

The best idea ever.

I'm sure that everyone has seen the banana ice cream idea either on Pinterest or from some other interwebby portal.
I'm a huge fan of it and I now always keep chopped frozen bananas in my freezer just-in-case.

Those nanners were sitting right next to my avocados. They looked to be the best of friends and I wanted to aid their friendship as best I could.

So I did it. 

I made guilt free banana avocado ice cream.

It's so simple I can't believe I never though of it before!

You'll need:
1 avocado
1-2 bananas

Chop up your avos.

Put them in a dish/pan/bowl anything freezer-safe really.
I trust your judgement.
And toss 'em into the icebox.

Let them freeze overnight to make sure they are super frozen. 
They need to be rock hard to make the ice cream-y texture.

And since you're a smarty-pants whipper-snapper you already had your bananas chopped and frozen too. ;)

Throw the bananas, half an avocado, and a splash of milk into a food processor and let her rip!

It will look like this. ^^

Add a twirly (technical term) of honey...

and a spoon full of cocoa and give it another whirl.

Spoon it into a bowl and top with goodies.

Now you've got yourself a delicious, smooth, guilt-free ice cream.
Ummmm and it's heart-healthy--and did you know that bananas keep you hydrated??

I loooove banana soft serve, and am really intrigued by the addition of avocados :) And girl, be grateful for dem 'cados - I went to this pricey import store here in China the other day and it was upwards of 10 American dollars for EACH avocado (and it's the only place you can find them)!! Crazy stuff... can't wait to be back in California, I'll be practically hoarding them hahaha...
