Blog-over

This is going to be a very small little bloggy post.

I am in the process of giving a little revamping to the blog page.
I will eventually change the logo/title and the background.

This time I added a few little buttons.
This was after quite a bit of HTML researching and a few layout mess ups.
I finally gave up and asked a friend. ;)

Now you, my friends, may use my blog with more convenience.

Please tweet, like, and pin to your liking.

Will you be my...?

A little over a week ago my good friend Bri asked me to be in her wedding.
She is getting married to one of my oldest friends, Chris. We've literally been friends since Kinder.
Needless to say, I am extremely excited to be a part of the Big Day.
The reason I am blogging this is because she asked all of the girls in the coolest way possible.

Feast your eyes on this baby:

She even painted personalized the boxes for each lady. :)

Bri is a brilliant graphic designer so the box was incredibly astheticly pleasing.

The inside of the box has information about the dresses, the other bridesmaids, our role as bridesmaids, and the day in general.
It also has a little bits and pieces about her colors and different styles and ideas for the special day.

Wooops...I forgot to flip the picture.
I'm sure you can do a head tilty tilt. ;)

This is probably one of the coolest ideas ever.

I'm so excited to be a part of the celebration.
Congrats Bri and Chris.
It will for sure be a day to remember.

The Shop

My siblings and I had a very unique experience growing up.
My parents own their own business. So instead of going to day care until Kindergarten we were able to be with our parents most of the time.

My popp is a cobbler and my mom is a seamstress.

We call it The Shop.
Unfortunately, I will not be sharing the real name of the Shop due to privacy protection.

My parents bought the business 28 years ago from a Greek couple
My popp never changed the name from when the Greek couple owned it.
People still come in and ask where John is. Welllll...he moved back to Greece.

Yesterday I hung around and had dinner with my parents.
I love going to the Shop. It's the family business so it will always be big part of my life.

I thought I would finally share it with you. ;)
Prepare for photos.

This is one of my projects from kindergarten.
It's really lasting...

Don't worry, we weren't aloud back here as kids.

If you look closely you can see my high school graduation pictures...

My popp's father had a shop too.

So this is where I grew up.
One of the most interesting places. And that's not 'cause I'm biased.

Anthro Mugs

Last night I had a nice night in. I needed to edit the pictures from the 10 Paces, Fire show.
So I cozied on up with some PJs, my laptop, and a cup 'o jamaica tea. I used my new fancy schmancy Mug from Anthropologie.
Yes, I am about to blog about a mug. They are the prettiest mugs ever.

These mugs are the most beautiful little things that I could ever think to drink out of.

You can find them in stores and online. They are only $8.00 and are perfect for a little gift.
My sissy and I stocked up right before Christmas when they were $5.00 each.
Some one got the whole alphabet, ahem. :)

P for Pappalardo, obviously.

What a relaxing night. The best way to get things done.
How did you spend your night?

The Smoothie Chronicles

My mornings are a little crunched for time. We have four people in my house and one bathroom...you can imagine stress. We pretty much have the schedule down to a science, but if there is one mess up someone is going to be late for work or school.
This is still a long shot...Let's face it, the Pappalardo's have never been famous for being early or on time...

Because of this, I try to get things done at night so I can get ready really quick and do a grab and go in the morning. I usually pack my lunch and make my breaky. I'll whip up a quick yogurt with fruits or a blasty mcsmoothie.

Today I went for the latter.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie.

I was going to make an awesome pumpkin pie smoothie. I saw the idea on Pinterest, but I decided not to use the recipe...I wanted to make up my own concoction. Well, I should have stuck to the recipe.

Really it is very easy to make.
You will need:
-A food processor or blender
-1/4 cup Almond milk or milk of choice
-1/4 cup Greek Yogurt I use Fage
-One banana
-A handful of strawberries
-Splash of Vanilla
-A handful of ice

Throw all but the ice in the processor or blender and give it a whirl. After everything has been thoroughly mixed add the ice and give it another go.

And BOOM! You got yourself a healthy breaky on the go.

Well you are probably thinking Lisa, you do not take that on your way to work...

Well you are right. I don't.

Meet, Mr. To-Go Cup.

It was my Christmas gift from Breanne and I love it.

Time for work! Doo Deee DOOO!!

10 Paces, Fire--In Memoriam

On Friday an era ended. The 10 Paces, Fire era..

10 Paces, Fire is a Milwaukee band and some of my really good friends from high school.

After over a half decade of playing awesome shows and Summerfest, touring, and making CDs and music videos they have decided to lay the band to rest.

Their lives are now headed in different directions with fiances and big boy jobs.

Well, Friday was their last show. I volunteered to take some photos for them. ;)

Here are some of the highlights.
Their are quite a few. I apologize in advance for the load time.

I know that all of the fans, friends, and bands appreciated it.
It's sad that they're done, but the guys had a really good run.

Here's to you, 10 Paces, Fire.

You may find their music video here and all of their music for free here.
