Día de los Muertos

Last week was halloween, yes. More importantly, it was also the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. It's a Latin celebration that shows respect for the people who have passed. It's all skulls, flowers, and face paint. You'll see. ;)
There is a small parade in Walker's Point. Now this is only the third year of the parade so it was quite small. My brother Anthony, my friend M, and I went to check it out for a bit.

Take a peek.

The altars are made for loved ones who've passed.

Neat huh?

If you are interested to see more of the art and altars of the Day of the Dead there is a bit of a set-up at Walker's Point Center for the Arts.
