Perspective

It is so cool how after a few years your perspective can change about something. Take this sculpture for instance. It's right on the end of Wisconsin Avenue and right front to the Calatrava (Milwaukee Art Museum). Growing up I always called it the Sunburst -- I guess it's called the Calling -- yeah, I Googled it. I never understood it while growing up and people always criticize it because it blocks the view of the MAM from Wisconsin Ave.
After years I still don't really understand why it's there or what it stands for. And let's face it, it's ugly. At least I think so, but I really love it. I don't know why, like I said, does it mean something or stand for something? Who knows? I just really love it because it reminds me of the city that I love so much, even with all it's little quirkiness.

I've been editing photos like crazy after getting the new actions from A Beautiful Mess. I am SO excited about these! I've been playing around with so many old photos, but spaced on taking new ones  -- I even went out to a great restaurant, little grocery, and got Moscow Mules on Sunday and didn't take my camera...or phone. What's wrong with me?!

  1. I've been loving the ABM actions as well! I bought the signature collection and I'm having a blast working with them!
