Cubanitas!

After Meta and I went to the Harley Davidson Museum we were pretty famished what with all the racing on bikes and what not.

We decided to go to one of my favorite restaurants in downtown MKE: Cubanitas.

It is hard to miss on Milwaukee Street because of the fittingly bright orange and green.

On slow days you take a gander at the menu, go right up to the bar, order, and pay before you sit.

We sat right at the windows to overlook the busy-not-so-busy street.

Meta treated us to mimosas to celebrate.
I might or might not have accepted a position for a new job last week.
I couldn't be happier!

We both ordered the Saturday special: the egg sandwich with onions and chorizo on cuban bread.

We shared a plate of platanos y guacamole (plantains and guacamole.)
If you go, I highly suggest that you get this.

Meta ordered croquetas de jamón (ham croquettes.)

And I ordered a empanada de espinaca y manchego (spinach and cheese empanada.)

The decore is bright and very...well...Cuban. ;)
I don't know how else to describe it.

If you're ever looking for a new place for brunch, dinner, or just a drink head over to Cubanitas.
