Who's the Fairest?

Don't you just love days off??
I don't have them often, but when I do I plan out tons of stuff I'm going to do. I tell myself I'm going to wake up early and work out, read, clean, maybe build that pallet bedframe from Pinterest, take a nap, paint the house...ok maybe not the last one, but you get when I mean, right?

I always plan so much to do and I usually never actually do everything that I plan to do.

Well that changed last week. No really! It did!

Last week I had a day off and had time to work on more stuff for my apartment. So I dug out two mirrors that I found in the attic.

Before.

The dumb things that one does as a kid...

To get the stickers off I mixed some vinegar with water, wet a sponge and held it on the stickers.
After they were saturated they peeled off easily.

I was planning to repaint both of the mirrors so I started to sand them down to get a rough surface for the paint to hold on to.

After I sanded the whole thing down the first one down I took a  step back and BAM!

I love the way it looks.
So I left it. :)

I sanded and painted this mirror the same way as the smaller one.
After the paint dried I took steel wool to all of the edges to get a little more of a rustic look.

NBD.

Look at this pile!
Just building up my furniture collection. :)

This weekend is busy busy for me. I have a birthday party on Friday, dress fittings with my friend Bri on Saturday, a wedding, and then Father's Day!

What are you onto this weekend?
